Chintan Katti, Aniruddha Shirke, Avadhoot Phadke and Ruby Abley Merlin D'Souza is one of India's leading female musicians, composers and pianists, widely celebrated for her work spanning Bollywood music, independent albums, theatre, and live performances across the globe. Equally fluent in western music and jazz, her true forte is the piano. Merlin's soul symphony brings that mastery to Jodhpur RIFF this year in a fluid, mellifluous blend of the instruments and sounds of the world, weaving a unique tapestry across timeless original compositions. She will be joined on stage by the young maestros Chintan Katti - one of the most proficient young sitar players in the country, Avadhoot Phadke and his superb accompaniment on the flute, and Aniruddha Shirke's magic on tabla, pakhawaj and ethnic percussion. Merlin will also be joined on stage by Jodhpur RIFF artist in residence, genre-agnostic improviser and saxophonist Ruby Abley.
